Beyonce Party (Video Review) + Possible Video Anthology DVD

Beyonce released her 3rd video for the month of October!! “Countdown” and “Party” have become the official 3rd and 4th singles of 4 respectively, while “Love On Top” has been dubbed a  promo single. The battle has begun, and “Countdown” won the weekending 10/18/2011 charting 2 positions above “Party” at #85 . Now that both songs are assisted with videos, a fair chance, lets see which can reached top 5 status first.  “Party” will make 6 of the 13 tracks from the album 4 which have released videos, while there are only 4 official singles. Reminiscent of the B’day era should we expect a 4 Video Anthology DVD?? Frequent release and video:song proportion tell me YESS!! Stay tuned for updates…

Video Review

The video is best explained as one big Party. Everyone’s having fun, dancing, and enjoying themselves as Beyonce dominates the party girl title. Virtually shutting down every female  in the party with her drop dead outfits and Best thing I Never hadish hair amongst other styles. Cameo appearances from Solange and Kelly Rowland make the party that much more realistic, however the setting being the backyard of trailer does not. The only thing missing is the hot fire lines of the rap mogul Andre 3000, which was replaced by J. Cole’s verse for the video. The two had very little interaction, and the collaboration seemed last minute and forced due to the fact the song was perfect before. However, the colors and creativity of the video captured youth with a 90’s twist, which has always looked good on Bey. Check and see for yourself..

Keri Hilson… Still Laughable?? (PMS)

It appears that Keri Hilson has made an extensive effort to become “That B*tch” during the era of No Boys Allowed”. She has went through a series of changes such as style, which at times looked as if she went through a little trial and error, but hoped for a positive outcome. She lost her tom boyish ways, became a blonde, and picked up a new glamour girl look. UP UP Here we go!! “Pretty Girl Rock”, The Song, took over a month to enter the Billboards at #76 on the #HotHipHopandR&B Charts, was released as a second single of the album. #PGR received praise from critics while others called Hilson vain for calling herself beautiful that many times in one song. However, this was the song that was supposed to carry the album hence “Breaking Point” failed to chart the #Hot100.

#PGR was radio friendly, like nothing we overheard from her (Not Her Style), and it was a female anthem. Pretty Girl Rock went on to become the most successful single of the album, peaking at #26 on #Hot100 Charts receiving a platinum certification. With that being said, #NBA sold 187,000 to date while her debut work In a Perfect World… has received a Gold Cetification seling over 500,000.

What did the change do for her Career?

Knock You Down and Turning Me On were her most successful singles charting at #3 and #15 respectively on the #Hot100. Unlike Hilsons debut album, #NBA has not been able to chart several singles on the chart even with the heavy promo it has received. So what must Keri do to become an international superstar??  She could consistently drop an album every year for the next 5 years and perhaps she will build a stable fanbase. The Music is GOOD,  Performance could be better NO MORE LIPSYNCING, and the Swag is on its way. Rihanna 2 albums in was still laughable, now 4 albums later and she is one of the biggest female artist in the industry. Note to Keri: KEEP GRINDING

#PGR = Pretty Girl Rock  #NBA = No Boys Allowed

Hit & Miss Peformances

MISS!!

In this performance of her 4th and final single #NBA “Lose Control”, she fails to capture attention with her dance moves as she lyp syncs her way through the performance.

HIT!!

Pretty Girls Rock!! She kill’s this performance as she demonstrates just what it takes to be a Pretty Girl without missing a beat.

Love On Top (Full) Video Release + Review

10 seconds is all you need to notice that production may have occurred at an earlier date, due to the fact that there is no visible baby bump. Which is understandable noting the high energy choreography, reminiscent of New Edition or Jackson 5 type dance moves.  Beyonce and her group of male back-up singers go through several outfit changes, which become even more flashy, with each inversion of the chorus. The second verse is excluded from the video, which is somewhat of an disappointment. However, a great ideal would have been for her to include some pregnant scenes with the hubby Jay-Z. Who knows, maybe well get the missing piece on a, 4 Video Anthology DVD, I’ve been  attempting to speak into existence!!

SN: It has been whispered that Knowles has already recorded a video for most of the songs on the album. (Story Developing)
